Just for you BK :!: But if you get one you gotta Duracoat it!!!!!

Duracoat? I was just going to rattle can it!

Those look pretty good Brian. Seems like you have another good use for Retumbo! That 45-70 is coming along pretty nicely. Seems like it is really shooting well. I am at 59gr's with the 300gr PT and 2325 I think and it is a handful at the bench. If I stand up and shoot it like a man, it is a baby. Something about it at the bench though. Maybe I need to have a can of M-A-N before I shoot it though. Scotty

BK,

A Rattle Can would work just fine also. I'm just lucky enough too have a friend that does a great job with Duracoat. Now if Remington would spend a few extra dollars on the finish of the rifles they make :x

Scotty,

I think using Retumbo with the 243AI was a great find. You should be ok as long as you don't shoot your 45-70 out of your favorite stand

Took the 243AI back to the range to confirm my new load. First two started out great but the "Dope behind the Scope" pulled the third shot again  Five shot group went .503" and the four shot went .279".

Brian,

Excellent shooting there buddy!
Just remember 3 shots test the load, 5 shots test the shooter.

Man, I am really liking that 243 AI.

BTW, I will be back in the 243 Win game next month.

Jim,

I would stick with 3 shot groups but i keep pulling the third shot too soon  Guess i need to get some stuff in the mail if you will be ready by next month!

Thanks Guys! We ran out of time and light to shoot at 300 yards. I rushed shooting a group but nothing great.

Brian,

I know about those 3 shot groups. Some days I think I should stick with 1 shot groups.
