Finally got out to the range today with the 300 WSM. Ran some 168gr Barnes TTSX with 66gr of IMR-4350 with a Fed 210 LR primer.

If that was all one group of five, we need to tighten up the vertical spread!

I look for 3100 fps from my .300 WSM and the 165/168 gr bullets.

What kinda speeds do you get out of the 168's?

...I'm clocking just over 3200fps w/ a number of 165gr. bullets & 68grs. of RL-17, 200yd. "cold bore check...

That's the exact load I worked up for a friend's 300WSM Extreme Weather. It clocks an average of 3214 with the 168gr TTSX.

Nice shooting! I'd say you are ready to tackle anything you want to.

Re17 was the Schnitzel for my buddies 300 wsm too.
I'd have to look up the exact charge and speed but we shot some fed factory 165's and checked speed and worked up to that and we had excellent accuracy.
Funny thing is the fed load was leaving faint extractor marks. Our loads w/re17 never did and primer pockets stayed perfectly tight.

I haven't checked the speeds. I'm going to up the charge a half grain and see if it tightens up any.
