Range day with the 280

My 280 has been super picky about what it shoots too! The 140gr BT shoots lights out! It will print sub moa groups all day long with the load I have for it. The Accubonds were decent too. I tried a couple flat based bullets and it wanted nothing too do with those. A little more work and I'll have the bugs worked out of this load for the 160gr Gameking.

Since I always shoot behind the shoulders I have no problems using either bullet for hunting. My friends dad told me as long as I run them at moderate velocities they should work fine.

Virtually any 139/140 grain bullet will shoot sub MOA in my .280 Featherweight. It shoots 140 grain PTs into ~0.25 inches at 2900 fps. Virtually any bullet, from 139 to 160, shoots sub MOA in my Remington 50th Anniversary Commemorative .280. One hundred forty grain ABs are launched at 3000 fps. What's not to like about this cartridge?
