Our local range has been closed for a month due to extreme fire danger. Just opened this week from daylight until noon.
With the 275 Rigby I was hoping to find an accurate load using the AccuBond and and H4350 which I have plenty of. With the exception of shot five I think I'm pretty dang close.
Also wanted to verify a well established load in my 50 year old Ruger 77. 61.5 of RL22 pushing a 180 AccuBond looks pretty good.
Think I'll keep both rifles.

Wow, I'd say you're dialed in. I can't believe how well the Ruger is shooting. Info on the 275 rifle?

The 275 Rigby is a Ruger #1. I’ve replaced the trigger, floated the forend, added the Hicks accurizer to the spring hanger and bedded the foreend where it contacts the receiver and around the hicks accurizer and the end of the spring hanger. Looking at the target, that high shot is the result of not having the front bag pulled all the way back to the receiver. At least in the case of this rifle, resting the forend at the furthest end of the stock will cause the rifle to shoot high. With H 4350 I’m getting 2847.0 fps. STD of 9.5 with the 140 grain bullet. With Rl 17 I can get 2950 and sub 1 MOA as well, but I’ve only got one pound of 17 left so saving that for next year if I get to take the Grand Daughter elk hunting.
The 275 Rigby is a 7x57 Mauser. Same cartridge.

Yup, I'd recommend that those two rifles deserve an honoured place in your arsenal. Hard not to be impressed with your loads and those rifles.

Nice shooting Don.
You are ready for the upcoming season.

That Old mdl 77 has always given me relatively high velocity. Only rifle I’ve ever owned that out paces the loading manuals. At about 0830 this morning it was 55 degrees up at the range. 61.5 of Rl 22 gave me2910.2 fps with an SD of 11. That beats the Nosler #9 manual by 100fps.
