Picked up the 6BR from the smith yesterday and took it out with my buddy today. After running a few rounds through it for a small break in, we both shot a group. I fired a three shot group that measured 0.136. He then shot a group and had a shot go off before he was ready (that 1.5 oz. trigger is a bit touchy) so he fired a fourth shot as a mulligan to try to salvage the group. He put it right in the group. His group measured 0.144. I'm very pleased with the rifle. I did research and found most guys shooting the 105 Berger Hybrids were loading about 30.0 grains of Varget and seating them about 0.015" off the rifling, so that's what I loaded. Lapua cases with no prep other than weight sorting, just primed them and loaded them. I'm done playing with loads (easiest load work up I've ever done). Not sure of speed, forgot the chord to my chronograph, but I think they are probably running around 2,900 with a 27" barrel. With that 36x leupold, I found that a dot about .22 caliber was a good aim point at 100 yards. It's a lot more scope than I'm used to. Gotta load some more so I can stretch it out and see what it does. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this rifle!
