Rem 700 Firing Pin Kit??

Has anyone used the Pierce firing pin replacement kit with pin, spring and shroud to replace their factory parts with the LSS lock?? I have two questions is this a high quality replacement ie better than the original; is it a drop in part no gunsmithing required(I have a kleindorst tool); and does the finish on the new shroud match factory. Just sick of seeing that piece of crap lock on the side of my bolt shroud.

I have replaced sveral of mine with them. I use eother Callahan or Gre-Tan replacements. The black ones match pretty well, the Stainless do not. They are a different "shade" I would say,doesnt look terrible, just not an exact match.

It is very easy to,could have been done in the time it took me too type this.If you have the tool it is even easier.

Some say that the replacements speed up lock-up time and help with a more consistent trigger pull.

The Pierce is a very good replacement, i get mine from Sinclair's.
