I have heard reloaders like on Gun Tec TV say bullets can be too long for the twist or too short, my barrel is 26 inches long with a 9 1/2 twist ..
my question is doesl anyone know the perfect bullet grain for this twist
I would think the grouping would indicate this... I am using 139 Hornady and imr 7828 at 64 grains but groupings seem to be sporatic.. next time I go to the range I will be using a Match bullet 162 and some RL 25 68.5 grains...

Actually that SPS has a 9¼" twist, and will stabilize all bullets up to and including the 175 grain hunting type. 160/162 grain bullets have always been my favorite in the 7 Mag, and I have found them to be very effective on game as well. Regards, Eagleye.

I'm alos a fan of 16gr bullets in the 7mag. Try diff. powder comb. in your to tighten groups. I like IMR7828 but RL22, H1000 are all proven performers.

ezirider,

I too am a fan of the 160 gr for 7mm's.
I am using the 160 gr AB in my 280 AI.
You might also want to try RL22 with the 160 gr bullets in your 7mm RM.
