O.K. you guys how many Remington fans here, we can't let all those Winchester guys take over

I really do like my Remington 700's one of the few good left handed guns out there.

I'm a Remington M700 fan.
They are all shooters too.

Now, Gerry, Winchesters won't take over--they already rule. Actually, there are a few Remingtons that hang out in my safe. I just don't show them much, as they tend to turn beet red when displayed alongside my Winchesters.

There is a reason that I own far more Remingtons than I do Winchesters. I don't want to make them feel badly so I will just keep it to my self.

I have more Remington and Remington Clones in my safe than Winchester. I like them both though.

Hey there is nothing wrong with the 700 I own a number of them. They are in my opinion the working man's rifle.
At least they have attempted to help both sides of the rifle. If Winchester would make a lefty version then we could compare

Blessings,
Dan

I've got 35 or so Remington 700's and 721's

I do have one pre 64 supergrade model 70 .270 that stays in the back of the safe.

It's no secret I like my Remingtons. I have a few of them, and they've never let me down. 700s, a 721, a 725, a 788, a couple of rimfires, and an 870. I doubt I will ever own as many Winchesters as Remingtons.

35! you win

This is one of the few places on the net where this kind of thread could be had in fun. Like Dan said if new reasonably priced LH Winchesters were readily available I would have to try one.

I MIGHT be a distant second place with 19 CF rifles by Remington.

I love my Remingtons. I've never found any reason to defend them despite all the anti's that dwell within this forum. Haters they are. Besides, I was happy to see the salvation of the WRA namesake and product lines when Browning rescued them and improved their quality. :p

As my grandmother would say, "those that brag the most, have the most to hide".

I was just thinking the other day about the lack of negative Savage posts, insults and cartridge wars as compared to other forums. Just one of many reasons why I like this forum so much.

Zing! Good one. Where's the Marine when I need him. Scotty!

Love my Remingtons. Did you ever notice that when a custom gunsmith or custom company builds a rifle, 99 percent of the time they use a Remington action. The Marines also seem to like them.

I'm also a Remington fan, or at least a fan of my 700. I want to say she's been to hell and back, but in reality I treat her better than I treat almost anything else I have.

Now, if someone wants to give me a Winny Model 70, with nice wood, CRF, chambered in 30-06, I'll try my best to be a fan of that too!

Savage, though, you can keep to yourself. I know they shoot lights out, but I just can't get over that action.

Very true. Nothing better than a trued 700 action, in my opinion.

Military used the 1903 as their sniper rifle, then the M1 Garand, and in Vietnam the M70 was used. They wised up though and finally settled on the Rem 700!

I've got one Remington 700. It's a great rifle, though less accurate than my Weatherbys and my Colt rifle. I've also got one other Remmie that I just picked up a couple of months ago. Haven't even shot it yet, due to time constraints. But soon. Very soon. Hope it's accurate!

I can say I had one other Remmie that didn't get culled in QC, and I've worked with several others that should also have been culled. I love the ones I have, but I'm concerned for what big corporate ownership is doing to Remington quality. I don't hate them, by any means. It pains me to see any good brand lose QC. Hopefully they'll come back.

Of course, my favorites will always be my 'bees. But that's another thread.

...I gotta Remington...

...once you true up the action & replace the original barrel, stock, & trigger w/ sumpthin like a Hart, McMillan, & Jewel they seem to be fairly good shooters...
