...I gotta Remington...

...once you true up the action & replace the original barrel, stock, & trigger w/ sumpthin like a Hart, McMillan, & Jewel they seem to be fairly good shooters...

that's just so wrong! very nice rifle you got there

The Marines also seem to like them.

They didn't want us having the kind of advantage a M70 offers, figured no one would come to the fight!

I was happy to see the salvation of the WRA namesake and product lines when Browning rescued them and improved their quality.

Zing! Good one. Where's the Marine when I need him. Scotty!

I'm here mate! Just finished washing my eyeballs out from all this blasphemy being spouted! Can't believe I missed this thread. I guess that's what I get for going to the range with my good shooting Winchesters! Had I been at home working on the Remingtons I would have likely caught this faster!

My Whelen is the Remington rifle that is solid though. My son does have a good shooting M700 as well. My first rifle was a 721 30-06, traded it a week later for a downpayment on a M70 7 Rem Magnum and never looked back!

I'd wrap three model 70s around a tree to claw my way to a Rem. 700....

For the record, I would rather throw a 1911 at someone than rely on one to function properly when the trigger is pulled... gimme a Glock or XD (yes in 9mm, too)

I also prefer Dodge trucks, blondes, and a ribeye....

All right, Scotty. You've redeemed yourself. Gunny Hathcock would've been astonished to see what the Marines are compelled to shoot in this brave new world. I guess a Remington is okay, if you ever have a flat tire and need a jack handle.

I'm with you on the Dodges, blondes and ribeyes, but you lose me on the 1911 and Remington's!

I guess a guy that shoots Glocks owes himself to have Remington's as well!

Mike, my old 25-06 CDL wouldn't have rated jack handle status. Wouldn't want to offend the jack!

Ziiiiiiiiing. Another good one. A veritable hit, my good man.

Yeah.... sucks when everything works and shoots straight.... I guess y'all Winny/1911 guys must get bored easily... you need firearms that require maintenance, TLC, and have to look good before they'll leave the safe. I'll take a farm girl over a debutant all day...

I like that SongDog! All except the Remington's and 1911's and we would be in business!

This is all in good fun mates. Hope nobody is taking it any differently. I really like them all for the most part.

Yeah.... I'm not gonna lie.... when it comes to ACTUAL women, trucks, and rifles.... for the most part... I'll take what I can get!

Hey, the farm girls sounds interesting, at least. Ribeye? T-bone. However, 1911s and Winchesters are what are carried by those who are imbued with discriminating tastes. Just look at me!

I love my 700s, but between Remington's price increases and the quality from FN, these new M70s are proving to be pretty competitive.

Ain't it great to have choices?! :)

I'm not picky when it comes to rifles as long as it shoots small groups. Now my pistols? I would throw three 1911s at someone and run to get my Glock! Wreck a few Chevys and a Dodge for my Ford. And knocked the blonde out of the way to get to the Redhead

I'm with you Brian, except I do like my 1911s. And while redheads are number 1, a woman with jet-black hair is gonna be 1A.

I'm so deeply offended that I may have to buy another Remington on my next trip home.

Well, your max effective range with the thrown 1911 would Be better than with the Glock in your hands, so I do see where your coming from there Sarge!

Your about due anyhow Kurt. It's been too long since I've heard of a new one in your mitts!

I'm pretty offended too. I might have to sell my one Winchester and build 2 more Remingtons so I can make sure I have enough good shooting guns. Fortunately for me I can build a custom Remington for cheaper then I can buy a box stock Winchester and I could care less what it looks like as long as it shoots tiny little groups.

Guess I should let 70% of all U.S. law enforcement agencies know about that. Just throw those Glock pistols away.
