Rifle for sale for LH Canadians :)

Man, a CRF M70 for under 500. Seems like a deal right there. Even if it isn't perfect, that is a good price to buy in order to mod it to your liking. You lefties need to be all over that!

That's a screaming deal if you're a wrongarm! But LH and a short stock wouldn't work very well for me. Plus the Canuckian thing...

A sweet rifle, without doubt. Dan should be jumping on that one.

I agree! Danno, where you at buddy! Here is your chance to strike!

Dan usually checks in on Saturdays so I'll bump this up for him :) A few months ago I would have gone for this but I'm pretty happy with the 35 Whelen and 375 Ruger.

You have every right to be pleased with those two rifles. However, we can't allow Dan to think too much about his Whelen. He becomes agitated.

Hopefully he gets it soon we all want to see this beast.

I've actually seen the rifle; it looks quite nice. I believe the holdup is the scope. There are no VX6 scopes in Canada at the moment. All that were here are already distributed, and likely sold.

You couldn't talk him into a Zeiss, Leica or Swaro Mike? Jeeze, I must be an easy trick!

He is focused on a Leupold. I suggested a Minox and even a Vortex. However, Dan is expressing true brand loyalty. It's not as if I don't have a Leica I could sell him. Here, I'll try again. Dan, how about a Leica 4.5-14X44? I can make you a good buy of this excellent scope (assembled by Leupold in the USA).

All rights guys you are making me drool and I just ordered a Thompson muzzle loader so there will be no 338 win mag for a month or 2
Doc PM a price on that Leica or you can tell me in front of the guys

I need to get this done and I have been really looking at the Leica range finders.
The only time I really need one is Elk season and my nephew let my use his Leupold.

Blessings,
Dan

Just looked at the 338 win it is a great looking rifle, but I promised myself once I ordered this 35 Whelen that I would start reducing my inventory not increasing it.
Quick question I was asked to see if I could repair a old 22cal rifle. I got the bolt out it is not rusted but is very stiff it has not been shot since the 60s what would you guys use to clean up the bolt. I was told to use rubbing alcohol?

Blessings,
Dan

Carbon tetrachloride (brake cleaner). Alcohol has too much water in it.

Dan,

I've never used carb cleaner or Gunk degreaser, though I buy brake cleaner by the case for just that purpose. As I said, all the brake cleaner is is pressurised carbon tetrachloride. If that is what carb cleaner is, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Thanks Doc I was just thinking as I have carb cleaner and Gunk. I think that I will run and pick up some brake cleaner and then I know what I have got.
Seriously if you are wanting to sell that Leica let me know :)

Blessings,
Dan

Hey guys it looks like I will be the proud owner of a Leica scope :)
Also my nephew has emailed Accuracyplus and ask them to email him on Tuesday:) It looks like he is going to buy the Model 70 338 win mag. I told him that it is likely a step down from his 700  but he will just learn from the exprience
Sorry Scotty

Blessings,
Dan
