Today was a really nice day for Nov. 55 degrees and sunny although a little windy. Our range has a lot of new steel targets all the way out to 1000 yards. The regular part of the range was pretty busy so I just stayed off to myself on the steel. I loaded up some 77 grain Nosler Custom Competition HPBTs with Alliant's Power Pro 2000 MR in PMC cases and ignited with a Rem 7 1/2 primer. On paper they do about 3/4" with my setup which is geared more for 3 gun competition, although I'm sure they would group tighter if I played more, but I don't really care to. The rifle is a Syrac Ord 1/8 twist 16" M4gery with a Rock River NM trigger. It isn't as nice as a Geissele or Timney but it works for me. The BDC scope works out really well and the notches were right on.

Some days, I wish WI did not have so many trees. I would love to shoot at a 1000 yard range. Heck, I would like to see 1000 yards while hunting some days. Your range time looks like a blast.

We have room to put steel on out to 1800 yards. We may depending on demand, lots of people are getting 338 Lapua rifles and high dollar NF scopes.
