RL33 Powder

I haven't seen it anywhere advertised yet Don. I would love to give it a try in my 264WM, 270 and 7WSM's. Looking QL, it looks REALLY good. I am not sure how much I would best my current loads, but I would give a pound a try for sure.
 
Alliant is awaiting US DOT approval so they can start shipping RL 33.
Should be a good powder in my 338 RUM.

Could you run a quick load for me please on the 300 RUM using 200 AB, Fed. 215 primer. I want to get a peak at the velocity gain over RL-25 if any exists.

Scotty & Dr. Mike,
Thanks for doing that for me. It appears as if there is little to gain trying RL33 vs what I'm currently getting with RL25. I'm getting 3059 fps measured in 35-degree temps giving me a little over 3100 fps in mid 80's-degrees. It appears it will take more RL-33 Powder to equal what I get with RL-25, plus I'm shooting incredible groups.

Well, RL-33 ought to be an interesting addition to the RL line of powders.

I'm going to be giving RL-25 a shot in my stw with the 160 AB. Would really like to give this RL-33 a try. I need to get my QL updated so I can play around with it. If somebody with the updated version wouldn't mind running a 160 AB for me in the STW @ 3.625" I would be very greatfull.
 
Yeah, someone run for me RL-33 and 220gr Sierra in 8mm Rem Mag just for the fun of it please. :mrgreen:

I think the 8mm Rem and other big capacity mags really benefit with RL33 and HEAVY bullets. I can't imagine 3100 out of the 8mm RM.. I want to try it in my 264WM with 140's when it becomes available. Seems like it could really push them out pretty quickly!

I will also add this, if you have access to VN570, it usually bests or equals all of the QL data I have seen so far. They are both very close, but 570 has put up some amazing numbers, very similar or better than RL33. It has to be available for some I would imagine.

Yeah, RL33 and N570 look like some strong medicine for the 8RM. I have been eyeballing them a bit for the 7WSM and 270WSM as well. It looks like they could do some good stuff with RL33..

Some comparison's to RL33 and N570 along with the other stand bys. Right now I run about 3125 (RL22) with a 150 PT. It seems like 3200 would be a possibility with the others..'
