Ruger LCP

That is a cool looking little handgun. Should be great for concealed carry.

Ruger LCP in my opinion is the best carry gun i have come across. I bought mine about a year ago. I have also tried 5 differant brands of ammo. No malfunctions ever. I have tried a few holsters. Most of the time i just carry in a pocket or cargo pocket. Just purchased a galco IWB
looks promising. I had a recent back surgery and wearing belt is too uncomfortable.

I've had mine since they were introduced a couple years back. Nice little pistol to stick in a pocket when you don't want to/or can't holster up a bigger gun. They are not fun range guns to shoot. The recoil hurts from the small size and blowback action. Ammo is expensive.

I'm not bagging on the pistol, I like it, just realize the gun is what it is and use it for a pocket gun. I'd rather carry my G26 when I have the option.

Thanks fellas.
I would much perfer to carry my Kimber Tactical Pro II 45 ACP but there have been times when it was not the best option. Its for those occasions that I want a pocket pistol.

I have about 15 guys who are carrying them as a pocket gun. Its one of the few little guns that actually works. They have a soft type holster that you can put in your pocket so that you can carry it without printing.

Popular here too. Much like the Kel Tec, but appears to be better made. Sure is easier to shoot from the few samples I've handled.

I carry a Kel-Tec 380 because I got it long before Ruger came out with theirs. I don't see how Ruger did not get sued because they are made just like the Kel-Tec. I have a bunch of friends that have the Ruger and even if we are carrying a bigger gun we all have our 380s in our pockets or some place. They both like the hotter loaded ammo best. I carry Corbon 90 gr HP and it shoots hard and is very accurate from the short 10 yards and under range these pistols are intended for. It is wise to carry them in some sort of holster. For sure DO NOT CARRY ANYTHING ELSE IN YOUR POCKET WITH IT. A pocket knife or key etc can AND HAS gotten into the trigger guard and when you move a certain way it can AND HAS pulled the trigger and BANG. I use a pocket holster that I made but you can purchase ones just like it. It has a holster sewn to a piece of leather that is a flap that you can slide your hand between the flap and the holster to pull the pistol. I carry in my right front pocket and when you pull the pistol the holster stays in the pocket. The flap makes it look like you have a wallet in your pocket if it prints in some pockets. One other thing to keep note of. If you carry in a pocket CLEAN YOUR PISTOL OFTEN. You will not believe the dust bunnies that will accumulate inside the pistol in just a couple of weeks.

1shot,

Very good advice about cleaning the pistol often. It amazes me how much lint and crap
is in my pockets. Been thinking about getting a new LCP with a laser on it. I love my gadgets 8)

Here is a DeSantis which conceals pretty well.

I have owned the both the Ruger and Kel Tec, currently use a Sig 238. One thing I've found about many shooters is they buy the gun then immediately head for the range. They shoot them a little bit then the guns start malfunctioning.

The problem I've seen is that the guns are often dry when they are packed at the factory and little guns REQUIRE maintenance to work correctly, more than full sized pistols overall. Without it, the malfunctioning will usually start pretty quickly.

I suggest to my officers and customers (work part time in a gun shop) to disassemble it, lube it, then head for the range. We did this with my wife's Kel Tec and it digested everything great, including hollow points. The previous comment about dust bunnies is right on.

I prefer Remington Golden Sabers in mine. I got .60ish expansion and 10-11 inches of penetration from a Kel Tec in gelatin.

Good point to run them well lubed. As you will note in my picture, my LCP is lubericated well.
I also remove it from the pocket holster every night and wipe her down.
