Went to the range today and worked up a few loads with a 130 TTSX. The results are shown below. Accuracy seems to be great however I think velocity is lacking a little bit.

According to some people and quick load I should be able to reach 2,900 ft per second easily with a 130 TTSX. I can definitely reach about 28 to 2850 with no issues. Should I stopwhere I am at or continue?

BTW white sticker says 400 yds. I forgot to reset the range in program. Yellow sticker is correct for group size.

Fotis if those are 400yd groups as indicated on the target description , I would be tickled to death😁.
Last year I loaded some 130 TTSX for my Dad’s 742 (308) at 2900 fps and he got a doe. That was the first time he had hunted with handloaded ammo. Instant dead deer for him.

No it was not at 400. It was 100 yds. Go with the yellow sticky not the white for group size. I forgot to reset the variable.

When I work up a load, I always do so with accuracy in mind.
I’m not too worried how fast usually.
The only time I’m concerned about fps is down range in a hunting bullet, specifically a mono such as the ttsx.
I would like it to open as much as possible, so speed there certainly plays a part, but getting it to hit where I want it to is much more important to me.

My data shows 2600fps with the LeveRevolution and Sierra 150gr SPT Pro-Hunter.
If you really want, I think there is room to go up since you're 20gr less in bullet weight.

Yes , you are correct sir. I looked at the Nosler data with the 125 BT. Max is 46.5 gr of Win 748 for 2970 fps. I am up to 43 now.
I found the 125 BT and the 130 TTSX loading data are pretty much identical. More bearing surface on the 125 BT.

Anyway How many gr of LVREVO are you using for the 150?

I'll check for you. That data is at home, not on my phone.

Take a look also at the article I previously linked on it.

42.7 grains of LVR, Winchester Super X cases.
I looked over my load development targets, and it was obvious which was best. The groups shrunk as I increased to 42.7, and increased beyond it.
0.3 grain change weight changes between loads.
The nice thing about LVR is that you really can’t stuff enough of it into the case to harm yourself or the rifle. It works the same with LVR in the 35 REM.

I think I will play with this load a little bit more. Maybe a little seating depth. That's 4 shots BTW. 130 TTSX at 2760. No pressure (excess that is) gun is running smooth. Still well under max according to the book. They got 2950 with 46.5 gr.
