Is it advisable to re-use rotary dovetail rings that have been mounted (turned in) and then removed from one rifle on another rifle? I heard somewhere there was an issue with this, but I am not sure. I've never run into this before, as I have only had to change out scopes or mount rings for the first time, but never have I had a set of 'used' rings to re-mount. I don't want the scope to pop off at the first shot, obviously, so what's y'all's experience on this?
