I went yesterday evening after fighting kidney stones since Friday. I had some does come out that I wanted to shoot with my old 44 Flat Top.Couldn't get them into my comfort zone. a little after 4:00 p.m. I had this buck come out into the field but headed for a no shoot zone. I had to do some juggling to get in position for a shot. I have a trifecta rest in that blind on a tripod. I got the .260 on it and pointed the right way. He was behind a tree and I had to wait for him to clear it. He came out giving me a quartering away shot. I rnaged him at 252 yards. I picked out a spot that would lie up with the aorta and squeezed the trigger. He dropped at the shot and never wiggled. I love the .260. The 140 grain Nosler Partition did its job perfectly as usual.
