I went yesterday evening after fighting kidney stones since Friday. I had some does come out that I wanted to shoot with my old 44 Flat Top.Couldn't get them into my comfort zone. a little after 4:00 p.m. I had this buck come out into the field but headed for a no shoot zone. I had to do some juggling to get in position for a shot. I have a trifecta rest in that blind on a tripod. I got the .260 on it and pointed the right way. He was behind a tree and I had to wait for him to clear it. He came out giving me a quartering away shot. I rnaged him at 252 yards. I picked out a spot that would lie up with the aorta and squeezed the trigger. He dropped at the shot and never wiggled. I love the .260. The 140 grain Nosler Partition did its job perfectly as usual.

Great buck! And a fine recitation of the moment when the hunt comes to the climax. Wow! Sorry about the kidney stones. That is no fun whatsoever. Pray you move beyond that distraction soon.

Congratulations on a dandy buck.
Nice rig and great shooting.
