Semi-Custom rifles ?

And just as a comparison, how does the current Win. 70 Super Grade rifle stack-up against any of the above mentioned rifles? The prices are sure to be different, though  .

well once winchester/fn ship off the building of these rifles to Portugal, quality will be back down to the crap level of the mid nineties.
I would consider a semi custom any rifle where you have some options and have it built more to your spec, although it is still over the counter. Cooper is probably doing the best job at this niche market. Macmillian, Hcr, Montana, Dakota , and in Canada the RmR line seem to be selling pretty darn good aswell.
Anyone have any experience with the Chimera action, 700 clone?

I was in a Scheels store in Sioux Falls, SD this past week and saw a super grade in a .264 that had me twitching for a brief moment...glad I didn't have some of the enablers on this website near me.

Forgive me, Joel. I feel as though I've let you down.

Me too Mike. Feel like I need to work twice as hard now.

Oh, yeah, if they built a 300 H&H Supergrade I'm pretty sure I'd like to have one.

Late as usual for this topic as I have been back in the hospital again until this weekend. This nonsense has got to cease!

On the Super Grade, Model 70, .300 H&H, me too, Scotty and I am not even in the market for another rifle. However, I had such good luck with the Alaskan that I owned in Pre-64 and even the USRAC Sporter .300 H&H that I owned which has convinced me that if they ever offered a new Model 70 in .300 H&H, I would be first in line!

That cartridge in the 1950's Alaskan that I had was one of the smoothest feeding and smoothest actions that I ever have owned, in no small part due to the design of that long tapered case and bullet in the .300 H&H. Sign me up for one of the Super Grades, if they ever build it!
