Short Range Test

Finally got back to the range for a short attempt at seeing how a three shot group with my new 200 gr AccuBond would work in the 35 Whelen. So far I can't say that I'm too disappointed with the 100 yard target I think I can still get it to do better but we'll see. In the next few days I hope to get out and try groups at 200, 300, 400 and 500 to see how they do. I'll post as soon as I actually can get out and get it done.

You're getting there. The groups are certainly adequate for almost any game you'll encounter.
 
Looks to me like your at about.690 or so. That should be good enough for anything other than heffalumps. You have achieved what I think is the majical number of sub 1". MY Whelen shoots just like yours, with 250's nothing wrong at all. Great groups.
 
That is fine shooting for any big game animal encountered at any distance the 35 would be used.
