Great load. about 57K psi I love RL 26.

I know the date is wrong...8/3/25

What a sweet shooting set up. I can't imagine getting tired of shooting that load or admiring that rifle in a deer blind.

Nice group and good velocity!

Makes one wonder why we need a 6.5 PRC when one can get 2900+ fps out of the Swede with 140 gr class bullets in a modern action, with approx. 10% less powder. 🤔
But that wouldn't sell new rifles with faster twists and ammo with higher BC bullets! ;)

Exactly. I use 123 gr Absolute hammers from my 6.5 PRC at 3220 fps or so.

I was surprised Scott. No recoil, no high noise level. According to Q/L I can go up a little but this is great as is.
Wait, no recoil…. You’re using a lead sled! Minus the lead shot or weight, but it’s got to recoil going that fast in that light weight gun without the lead sled 🛷.

My son’s Swede in a timber stocked tikka shoots lights out as well. Hopefully we get RL16 back in the gun shops again at a reasonable price, I have a number of cartridges I would like to try it in, the Swede now being added to the list.

Have you shot any game with those Absolute Hammers yet? From my experience they act like a lead-free Partition on game, shedding the nose pedals and the shank continues on through.

Nice Swede by the way!

Yes My friends and I use them quite a bit. Your experience mimics mine. Front part shreds off and the shank penetrates like a cast bullet. Never recovered one .

257 Bee, 300 Bee 30-06 etc,

I still can’t get over the quality of the wood and grain on that beautiful rifle FOTIS!

Where did you it? Was it brand new, or did someone sell it off because he thought it was just too pretty?

Truth is I got it off GunBroker and they said that it was used there was absolutely no sign of any use whatsoever when I got it either way there's not a mark on it and I've never seen Stripes like that on any chica Hunter before that coupled with a rare chambering I had to say yes
