Wow, very nice. If I didn't have a 375 H&H due in the next 3-4 weeks, I would be all over this one.

Sorry to hear your trip never happened but the rifle is beautiful and one to be treasured.
You could still use it state side maybe on an Alaskan hunt or a Texas Safari.
Heck, I would probably load it light and hunt deer with it.

Ditto, what Rodger said. Heck, if it were left-handed I would jump on it.

Beautiful rifle, and one that will be a great bargain for anyone who picks it up. I do hate to see you giving up on your African dream, but each of us know what we must do.

Well - I think there are some options in northern America for that gun.
But if you want to sell it, I hope you get a fair price.

The stock blank for that rifle was well laid out. For a heavy recoiling rifle, the grain should start in the toe, run straight through the grip and continue rising to the forend tip. Highly figured stocks generally do not lend themselves well to heavy caliber. A proper stock layout will move the forend tip into the barrel, due to humidity changes. I would buy this rifle if I needed one.

Orchemo, that works for me, In fact, it could be more gratifying over the long haul.

Dang, what a deal! You'll have no problem selling that. Beautiful classic rifle and cartridge. It will garner a lot of attention!
