Years back when I was loading not only for myself but several others as well, I used the SB's mainly in the calibers of .243, .277, and .308. Of these the weights most were generally standard for caliber (ie. 100,130, 150-165). This was also before and during the debut of the BT line. I had great results using them, but also had some noted distinct jacket seperations, as well as over expansion on hits which were not generally noted for this. This might not have been so noticed if I were loading top velocities, however these were with standard loads rarely exceeding 2850 fps in all calibers.
My question is, have the jackets on the newly released SB's been upgraded similar to the newer style BT's? Not that this is will be a major problem, as I am also looking forwad to putting the newer AB's to the test on some of our local hog populations.
Most if not all of my loads would shoot either bullet into the same approx. groups with little adjustment having to be made in past experiences. I really did enjoy using the SB's and was real glad to see them make a return.
