Spring Bear

Found out Monday that I drew a spring bear tag for Western Washington. I drew one 3 years ago when we had nothing for snow and the bears got out very early. Made for poor hunting as food was everywhere. Since it has been snowing in the hills all week, I am hoping that will push the bears down when they finally decide to start moving on the warmer days.

I think my .35 Whelen deserves to go hunting early this year. Unless Iron Buck wants to loan me that beatiful rifle of his. :wink:

Congratulations on your bear tag. Your 35 Whelen will do the trick on bear.
The 225 gr AB will turn the "Sailen Whelen" into a 300 yd bear thumper. :wink:
