Congrats, Gerry. I drew snake eyes.

Too bad, I was rooting for you. Are you still going to go out with your friends on that northern trip?

I'll likely make that trip next year, focusing on black bear this year.

Gerry,

Congratulations on the grizzly tag. The 375 Ruger with the 300 gr AB should do the trick in spades.

Thanks gents, there are a few more B.C. boys here hopefully there are a few more draws coming. In the next few weeks I can start loading those 300 gr AB's and seeing what kind of a load develops, between Big Game and H 4350 it shouldn't be too hard to find something.

Gerry that is an incredible tg you drew! I wish you the best of luck on your hunt. Think you can keep one of those Accubonds inside your bear so we get to see it?

I'll do my best to recover one sir :)

I may have to drive over there and give you a hand. Those coastal grizzlies are fine looking bears.

You're always welcome Mike although I do know a great place for you to apply for the fall, it combines well with fishing.

Temptations. Temptations. Thanks, Gerry. Of course, I will be making a fall application ... somewhere.

Man, what a tag Gerry! Contratulations on that. Man, talk about an exciting Spring to look forward to!

When is the season dates and how big do the grizz usually get down your way?

The spring season is from April 15-June 15. The bears on the coast are larger than inland bears just like Alaska, mature boars will be in the 8 foot range with some going over 9 feet squared. The guy I used to guide for owned the rights for this area said he even took bears that broke 10 foot squared but that would be quite rare, he has since sold the area to other guys. One of the outfitters had a client take a bear that was 9'2'' taken last spring.
