starline brass thoughts

I agree, Scotty. If I can't get what I want with a Lapua headstamp, I'll go Starline if they have it. Nosler is okay most often but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze. I don't believe Hornady is any better than Winchester, Remington, or Federal. Well...maybe it's better than Federal. LOL.

About anything is better than Federal these days it seems.

Starline once fired brass (notice the bulge), starline once fired and resized (bulge has sized into a belt), Hornady 3X fired and reloaded.

all were loaded with 29.5 gr lever behind a 103 ELDX, fed. 205 primer
AS far a nickel, no thank you. you have soft brass coated inside and out with hard nickel plating. And it will start to flake after a couple loadings. That platting is hard enough too scratch your dies and your chamber. had that happen with win. premium 25 wssm brass once.
