I am thinking of changing scope mounts on my WSM, as I have decided to try her out (and possibly keep her). With that being said, I am contemplating changing out my current scope mount:
EGW 20 moa base with medium Leupold PRW rings.

I am thinking of a set of medium(?) Talleys to mount a Zeiss 3.5-10x40mm on it to lighten it up?

Thoughts?

I can't speak too much on the Leupolds but I have several sets of the Talley lightweights. I love em. They are light, solid, and eliminate any concern of ring to base movement. I have em on a 300Roy, 257Roy, 7WSM, 7RemMag, and a 7-08. Needless to say, I'm a fan!

3/4 rifles in my house wear Talley rings and bases although not all are lightweight.

Talley, the name in rings, bases, and mounts.

I agree - given the choice I'd replace everything I have with Talley Lightweights.

Don't forget AJ, Talley will give you a good discount on rings and bases as an Marine. I actually don't like the Talley 1 piece mounts, but LOVE their QD's are the cat's butt..

I have Talleys on most of my rifles; they work.

+1 Except for my ELR shooting rigs.

Talley will mill their front bases in order to give you MOA. I had a set done for my 338 Win Mag.
