So I have been in the store twice now and both times have picked this beauty up and fondled her and drooled just a wee bit. Man is it pretty wood in a very classy looking rifle in a fabulous caliber. Hard to resist this one!! 7x57 Mauser guys!!

That is a good price, David. I know that I do enjoy my Featherweight 7X57. It is a joy to shoot from the bench.

You might have to take this gun home soon, or the gun store owner is going to start charging you admission or "handling" fees just so that they can keep it from rusting on the shelf from all that drool!!!

Nice piece of wood on that there rifle. Ought to be out in the field earning it's keep! Not to mention memory marks!

Very nice David! My knees are weakening even from this distance. I'd like to have one in 7x57 and 257 Roberts....... and maybe a 6.5x55.

David, I like that Featherweight 7x57mm Win 70 really well. If I buy another rifle it will be one of those, just like that one with CRF. Good thing that I do not live in Montana!

The only thing wrong with it is the bolt is on the wrong side. I'm a right brained shooter. Only a left brain shooter would want that one.

David,

Beautiful rifle!
The 7mm 150 gr PT is a perfect match for the 7x57. ;)

Yeah, my 7X57 will shoot 140 ABs reasonably well. This is the first series of loads:

I can live with that, though I am tweaking it at the present.

Agreed Jim that is what I'm shooting. Very slick rifle and shooter friendly. Has a lot more going for it than the books claim.

That's a beauty right there. If you like the 280 you'll love the 7mm Mauser. It'll run 140's out around 2900 without drama and man, my sons 7mm Featherweight shoots incredible as well. I'm glad I can't touch that rifle, the temptation would be ridiculous. Hope you cave on this one. You'd love it. 140 ABs or PTs would put you in a good spot.

I can tell you right now, sir, that my local Sportsman's had one (not even as pretty as that one) and I regret not jumping on it. It is my civic obligation to help you avoid the same distress.

Seriously, that is a great price on a classic, and a beautiful one at that! All you guys with those gorgeous customs, please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not sure I could dream up a rifle that I'd like better than the Featherweights I've got now.

That's a really nice rifle that would do just fine for most hunting... Not going to beat a shooter up either.

Not sure I'd be able to resist such a rifle!

So, is it in your safe yet? Time's awastin'!

Good call! David needs this rifle. I mean, he is the one who developed RADD for all of us.
