Test Target

Just curious, most other custom rifles / builds I've owned came with a test target. Did mine slip out of the box or does Nosler not provide them to the end user?

Welcome to the forum Buddy.

Mine came with a tag around the trigger guard that read with "factory loads .65"/100 yards"

Thanks for the reply. My rifle was from the 'rifles on hand' sale they recently ran and didn't show up with a tag.

I have to say, it's a gorgeous rifle. If she ends up shooting 1/2 as well as it feels, it's going to be a lifetime love affair.

Glass should show up this week, so if all goes well, I'll be able to start putting it through it's paces Saturday. I feel like a kid at Christmas!

What are you scoping her with?

Also what caliber did you get?

I'd been looking at the 7mm-08 for a long time.. when I saw one come up on the 'rifles ready to ship' list, it was like the universe telling me it was time... I've never shot one, but the ballistics looked good, factory ammo selection is decent and I can share bullets with another 7mm..

As to glass, the glass on order is a Leupold XV-R 4-12 CDS. I liked the idea of being able to swap out dials as needed. I went with the PRW rings and QRW bases.. hopefully it's a good fit on the 48. The only downside, is with a 40mm objective, I could have gone with low rings, but the PRW doesn't have a low 30mm ring offering. We'll just have to see how she all goes together.
