The answer is: A 270 WBY. Ultra Light Weight! It's a "NEW MATH" thing
Thanks to California hunter some un-suspecting Idaho mule deer should be "very scared" and not know why

140 AB at 3290 fps with RL22. .68" at 100 yds

Congrats Greg. I am officially jealous! That is a mountain hunters dream for sure. Scotty

A while back I use to run 130 Interlocks in my 270 Bee (an Austrian made Voere actually) anyway....
76 gr IMR 7828 gave me 3500 fps! Straight from the IMR manual. Antelope hunting felt like cheating!

It seems like I run about 100FPS less on you with about everything Fotis with the 270WSM. I was thinking the Weatherby has to be a screamer with the correct set up. I love these fast .277's. I believe Mr. O'Connor would smile a little! Scotty

70gr /RL22

Greg, you know the 270'bee is my favorite 6.5! Great choice.

As for loads, i had the same experience as FOTIS with IMR7828ssc - 3500fps with 76gr under a 130gr Imterbond. Accuracy wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either, and I ended up with 73.5gr under a 130gr E-Tip and am highly satisfied. Mine also likes 150gr Speer flat-based (replaced by the Deep Curl), if you want to double up as elk and deer medicine.
