Repeat after me, Guy, "I don't need a new rifle. I don't need a new rifle. I would consider a new rifle. I would think about a new rifle. I need a new rifle. There's room in my safe for a new rifle." There are some great cartridges to stimulate the juices.

DrMike,
Please don't do this to me, I am a poor college student!

If I sell three more rifles, and work all summer there could be one in my future. !!! Really nice comes in my favorite color also!!!!

You deserve one buddy!

Study harder and you won't be a poor college student! Seriously, there will be time for acquisitions after your studies are concluded. It is great that you have opportunity to do some hand loading and shooting now. I remember the long hours and demanding days to pursue my several degrees. Good luck on bringing your studies to a good conclusion.

Hang out around here and you'll get an education for sure. Seems Luke every other post of mikes I have to go look up a new word!

You aren't kidding about that!

Now, Jake, it can't be that bad. I do remember my girls coming home from church and making statements like, "Three." Or perhaps they would occasionally say, "Five!" Then, they laugh uproariously. I thought they were giving me a rating of some sort. After some time, I asked, "What are the cardinals all about?" Finally, the eldest said, "Dad, that's the number of words we had never heard before!" It went on until they moved out of the home. You know, they still do that on occasion whenever they are up visiting. I refuse to be lugubrious or tenebrous about the situation, however.

What?!? You don't use words like "occasionally," "uproariously" or "cardinals?"

Eschew obfuscation, Doctor!

Kurt,

Thank you. I have indeed eschewed obfuscation, opting instead to achieve pellucidity, perspicuity and precision in my drafts.

Lexicographer, Kurt, lexicographer.

I bumped around on line a little bit, it looked like it was going to be in the $2500-2550 range, depending on bottom metal. Too rich for me. I'd really like to play with one of the 6.5-284s, though.

Guy,
300wsm....
Russ

Russ, there's much to be said for that choice... Very good cartridge.
