this seasons hunting plans

I'm heading up to Maine on Sunday with my dad for our first bear over bait hunt for a week. This should be pretty special, he's had a rough go with cancer over the last handful of years and he can't tolerate the cold like he used to. I tried offering him everything from the midwest down to Texas for whitetails but he really wanted to come back to the Northeast and hunt here. There an air of nostalgia for him as its where we grew up, I still live here, he's down in FL now. With him never being an archery hunter and wanting the setting of NE woods this made the most sense. Hunts are afternoon to night, outfitters, guides, lodges, etc etc.

Really looking forward to this one, and hopefully a couple beautiful Maine black bears!

Sounds like a great hunt for your dad, cancer is a bitch, good on you getting him out there.
