track id help

Canid, could be wolf, coyote or dog, depending on where the track was found. Here are a few wolf prints from this past fall. The cartridge is 270 WSM.

It's hard to tell with the bullet covering the front of the inter-digital pad. It's probably the front paw print of a canid, dog or wolf by it's size. If the front of that inter-digital pad has two lobes, it's the front print of a mountain lion. If it only has one, it's a canid.

I'm going to say I believe that's a dog track. The toes are too widely splayed to be coyote, and it isn't a cat track at all. It might be wolf, but again, I believe the toes are not tightly spaced enough to be a wolf. Dog tracks look more leisurely, like this one.

One of my dogs is part Mastiff, and weighs 119 lbs. Her tracks in the snow look very similar to the wolf tracks I have seen.
