Two Wyoming Bucks down!

Well I am home, moping around the house today.

I had a fantastic time. Fotis and his family opened up their home to me, treating my like family. Their hospitality is second to none. And the food, oh my the food.... I started my diet today!
I got the chance to meet Brian in WY and we were able to hang for a while. Brian got he the hook up with a taxidermist who does excellent work! Yup, I am getting him mounted.

I am very happy with the antelope I shot. The 280 AI and 140 gr AB worked out well. We thought it was funny that I took my goat at 338 yards.
For those that would want to know, he would score around 71, Stephan's would score around 72 due to the mass and huge cutters he has. For me, the score doesn't matter, its the memories of the hunt, the friendships that are in place and the future hunts to come. The Wyoming Huntress even gave me an invite to come back next year.

FWIW, I currently have 10 preference points for WY Moose. I am getting close to start putting in for the draw. 8)

Fotis, Mrs. P., Stephan and WY Huntress, thank you for such an awesome time.

Anytime! Can not wait for you to pull that moose tag Jim.

Wow what a fun looking hunt. Congrats to Stephan and Jim and fine shooting and Fotis their guide.

My elk hunting buddy just got back from WY from doing a speed goat hunt. Don't know where he was but he got a buck and a doe.

JD338,

Pleasure to meet you. I new you would have a great time hunting with Fotis. Moose hunting is in your near future too. You have me thinking real hard about a 280AI. Sounds like my next project. I did get my Antelope yesterday. 338WM is way to much for Antelope. Not much meat left on this one. I wont use that gun on goats anymore. Thanks again Brian

Congrats on your antelope Brian. 338 huh?

Brian,

Congratulations on your antelope. Give us the details and a picture.

JD, I will work on the pictures this week. Posting pictures seems to be harder than it used to be. I need to figure it out. I want to do some deer hunting after work this week. This hunting season is real busy with 2 Antelope, Deer and 2 Elk. I will keep you updated. Brian

It looks like a great time for all. Anna is just all right; she gets right in there to do the dirty work.

Fotis, is that a Havalon you're using?

JD - congrats on making the shot on a great head.

POP - looks like a beautiful place you've got there!

Yes sir. Makes work seem like fun. JD is getting one too.

I've carried one in my kit for two seasons, and I have yet to pull it out. I'm going to have to dig it out this year.

The Havalon knife is amazing. I will have one soon.
