Universal AR barrel nut wrench

I got tired of chasing down all those oddball size crowfoot wrenches to torque the barrel nuts on AR free float hand guards. Wish they would standardize the size!! May be a rednecky solution, but I cut a socket in half and welded it to a crescent wrench. Torque wrench snaps in the socket. Works great and I don’t have serious cash tied up in a dozen jumbo size crowfoots.

It would be great if barrel nuts were a standard size or if most multi fit barrel nut wrenches would fit them all! Good idea you have there.

Can’t you just use a big set of channel locks or a pipe wrench?
