Added a 1000 lumen light to the hog/coyote rifle. I assume the 1k lumen is for the white light led, but the green is what I’ve been playing with. The deer in my backyard and the field across the road pay zero attention to it. From what I’ve seen, out to about 200 yards it’s clear enough to positively ID the critter and good eye shine out to around 300. Also has a micro switch mounted that I can activate with my thumb. And yes, night hunting coyote with light is legal after dark on private land, where I hunt them, and same for the hogs in Al. Unless you’re deaf, you can hear the hogs rooting in from a good distance, then just hit them with the light. Going to give it a whirl in a couple weeks, but the guys who used them last year are in love with it, esp hunting at night during August in Alabama is much cooler 😰

Looks like someone is serious about Miss Piggy and Wile E Coyote😁
Pigs are just plain fun to hunt and “some” are really good table fare. The coyote is a deal with the land owner that lets us deer hunt. We can hunt deer all we want, so long as we put a hole in the coyote population that makes a living on his lambs and calves. But yes, getting serious about them, even though my AR now looks like something from Star Wars 🤣
