First off I'm new to handloading for rifles but have been loading handgun calibers for about a year. I just got 200 55gr varmageddon bullets in 243 from midwayusa. My question is with the total copper jacket they have do I use fmj load data or lead? I've always read to use lead data for tcj in handguns and don't want to blow up my new rifle. I'm using H4895 if that matters. Thanks in advance guys.

Welcome to the forum friend.

I would start with "normal" 55 gr Ballistic tip data and work up.

Thanks Fotis, I was planning to load 42 grains of h4895 since that is what the dipper holds. Rifle gets here monday so I'll see how they do next week.
