Verified Old Faithful

That's a great story, dubyam. I would have broken my arm trying to get at my wallet as well. What a buy. Yeah, at the price and in the right cartridge, I might be shooting a Weatherby as well.

Your not stealing nothing Dubyam. Great story!! I would have gotten a 270WBY too for 275. What a deal. A Bell and Carlson Medalist will look great on that rifle. Can't wait to hear how you like the Minox.

Good thing that's not local to me! I dig the WSM Extreme Weathers!

I could tell you where it's at. Only about 25 for shipping.

That's some awsome shooting guys!..I'm also very, very happy with my sako 85 .270 WSM as well :)..I'm a Partition fan, but my rifle favours the Accubonds alot more, either way, I'm happy  ...Lou

Thanks, but I'd hate to deny you a .325.

Besides, if I get another EW, it'll probably be a 7 WSM (if I can find one) or a 7-08 or a .243.

Coming in a little late, for approximately 20 years I did not shoot my old faithful the 270win. But then one day about 10 years ago. I basically got rid of everything and went back to the 270win. It is my all time favourite but never really want to argue calibers because there is something good to be said about them all.
Like a 35 Whelen when I get it
After that I am thinking either a 270wsm or the 7wsm.
So many calibers and so little time or money

Blessings,
Dan

One thing about it, when the other calibers get the accuracy vapors, the .270's keep shooting and bringing home the bacon.

Even with the "Old Faithful" rifle making the ragged hole at a hundred I hear the Siren Song of other calibers riding in on the winds of change. Jason and the Arganauts weren't drawn to an island of enchanting woman like the fable goes. There was a Cabela's on that island with a 50% off close out sale on all rifles in stock

I'd never have known had you failed to inform me. Wow! That is something.

That was great! Good one Greg!

Dan, the Whelen is going to do you proud.. Be careful though, it could unroot that old 270 from it's top spot!

Scotty I am hoping you are right. I told my wife the cost last week  she asked if that was with the scope that I sent up there. All I stated was almost
I know that it will not take a back seat to anything that I own or have shot.
Here is Sask Boy not so patiently waiting

Blessings,
Dan

Here are a couple more groups I shot this afternoon with the 270WSM. Again, this rifle doesn't seem to wanna disappoint me..

My 300 yard zero
