Vermejo Park NM Elk

Went on our sixth Vermejo Park cow elk hunt last week. I love that ranch. Had to hunt a little harder this year as the temps were unseasonably warm and the elk hadn't come off of the rimrock completely.

7mm STW, 160gr NAB, 80grs H1000, 3,400fps, 380yds

Nice young cow--maybe 2 1/2 years old judging by her ivories. Weighed only 210#'s fully dressed. The NAB performed exceptionally well as usual.

We took three cows total. Also took a young bull bison and felled a couple dozen large Canada geese.
