Would like to see Nosler come out with a 250 gr .338 AB bullet for my 338 Win.

Don't forget the 338 RUM, 338 Edge, 340 Wby, 338-378 Wby, 338 Lapua,
338 Kahn, 338 Yogi, 338 Allan Mag, and a few more.
There is a big 338 cal market for long range hunting and shooting!

Yup, a 338 250 gr AB would be sweeet!

Just curious, what animal is going to know the difference between a 225 AB or a 250 AB? I have a 338 WM and shoot 225 AB. I did work up a 250 PT load, but I figure bears/moose/elk won't know the difference. Anyway just my .02 worth.

A higher BC will give greater performance down range. Higher retained velocity, energy and better wind bucking.

Just how much BC do you need? The 225 AB in 338 cal has a BC of .550. That the highest BC I've ever seen, and from what I can find, it's also the highest BC of any AB bullet Nosler makes. I was just curious as a 250 AB may not have a higher BC than the 225, then again it may be higher.

I say add a 250grain AccuBond. My big 338's (338RUM, 338-378) always shoot better with 250 grain bullets. Besides, a 250 grain AccuBond at 3000 + fps just sounds good!

Looking at some of the other posts, it sounds like alot of.338 caliber shooters would like to see Nosler make a 250 and a 300 gr. AccuBond.

Hi i would skip the 250gr and go to 275-300gr i would like the projectile to be as heavy as it can be and still stabalise in a 10 twist barrel so 300gr should be fine as 300gr MAtchKings can be stabalised in a 10 twist. if 300gr is to heavy then 275gr would be a great place to start with the big 338's like my 338WBX we can push a 300gr projectile past 3000fps so if we has a super high BC projectile it would be awsome

Also a 350gr 375 would be great aswell with a BC as high as a 300gr 338 that would make an awsome 375/408

Cheers Bill

The 308" 200g AB is .588 which is higher then the .338 225g version, FYI

Only problem I see with anything over 250g is "most" people wont ever need anything that big. Most people dont have the cartridges to push those heavy high bc bullets fast enough to have any advantage. My friend bought a 338 RUM and hes only shooting 250g's. I told him to shoot the 300g SMK and all he said was "your crazy." The recoil on a 250g at 3000fps in a sporter weight rifle is bad enough. The recoil on a 300g slug and no brake in a sporter weight rifle, I wouldn't want to be the one sqeezin the trigger either. I think the 275g or 300g would be more of a "specialty" type bullet. Nosler would be better off just making it a 250g. But I dont own or shoot .338" cals, so my opinion dont mean squat!

I have been useing the Partition in all calibres for 30+ years with
great results at 200 to 300yrds at extream distance the did not expand
so I use bllistic tips.

But have switched to Accubonds for total performance where available
so adding other weights and dia.(416&458) would be appreciated by all
of us loyal fans .

A 250 grainer in 338 cal. should be a no brainer and a 275 grain would be a very welcomed addition

Try the 250gr. Partition. I use it from time to time and it's EXCELLENT and one of Nosler's finest. I have doubts on using the Accubonds for any large and or dangerous game.

I had to switch from my favorite 250gr.Sierra SBT because of magazine deformation.I now use the 225gr. AccuBond,& like it...But I would love to get it in a 250gr.
