I had all 5-shot groups inside of 1 1/2' circle but I moved them around the bullseye. My last three shots printed .6" so I stopped right there. I would like to think it was the wind, but my 22-hornet with 40gr HPV put five inside the 1" square diaginaly so 1.2" is close. I have never shot this at 200 yards before so I was pretty happy with it. My 45gr SP loads fanned out to a 5" group and that suprised me. At 100 yards that load does 1" or less. I have a CZ257 with a 1:16 twist but it was the long 40gr HPV that states for 1:15 twist or faster that shined.

All shots were at 200 yards with HSM Ammo in the 223rem and my hand loads in the 22-Hornet. I think the HP's were listed at 3240fps and the new Midway catalog show two loads for the BK'sone at 3100 and 3240fps and I think I have the slower ammo.

I should get a box of 55gr HPV just to see which weight my gun likes before I reload for it. I did get some 52gr bullets and just for target I think the 1:12 should handle 60gr bullets. For either target or varmit what bullets betwen 50 and 62 gr do you like in the 12 twist rate?

Sounds as if you are moving in the right direction. You should be fine with a 1:12 twist for the 60 grain bullet. I would think that the 62 grain bullet will benefit from the 12 twist.

I have a 1-12 twist in a 22-250 and it is handling 60 PT's pretty well. Scotty
