After getting my Weatherby Mark V, I've been looking into loads that I can come up with for my rifle.
I was wondering what had worked best for the rest of you?

I'm thinking hard about using 180 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips.
I have these powders on hand:

IMR 7828

RL-22

RL-26

H4350

I will get some Winchester or Hornady brass. I already have Winchester LR primers.

Thank you for all of your suggestions!

Been using RL-22 and the 180 Ballistic Tips / Accubonds. It's a great combo and so accurate. I'm sure the other powders you listed will work. I haven't used any other powder besides Rl-22 since it shoots flat out great for me. I'll stick with what works.

That's awesome!
I've seen elsewhere where RL-22 was the preferred powder. It seems to go great with 180 gr bullets.

Hawk,

I've loaded 180 gr AB and PT bullets with 75.0 grs RL22 and Federal GM215M primers in 3 different 300 Win Mag rifles and they all shot well under MOA.

That's outstanding!
Amazing load that works very well in 3 rifles.
Do you by any chance know the velocity of that load?

300 WM - great cartridge!

Not one of your on hand powders.

That's awesome! As long as it's a little above factory spec's, I'm happy!

200g AB with RL22, RL23, H4831, or H1000. Great accuracy, velocity, and power. I've loaded this combo for years for guys, and they've been successful with taking elk out to 900 yards, and as close as 75. Velocity is 2850-2900 fps and accuracy is between 3/8-3/4 MOA.

I will check a couple of my reloading manuals to see what the difference is in grains, and work my way up.

That's outstanding accuracy! Can't get any better than that!

I've been thinking hard about getting a sleek 200 gr and using that, along with using my RL-22.

The 200's almost get as much velocity as the factory 180's spit out!
That's an excellent load!
Thank you!

Or the 180s with a stiff charge of RL22 are always a good bet as well. Loaded that combo for years for guys as well before the 200g AB came out. Always under MOA in every rifle easily around 74-75g at 3000fps.

Outstanding! That just may be my go to load from here on out.

Thank you for imparting the knowledge! I greatly appreciate it.

Correct. Very respectable velocity.
I might add that there are others on this forum that have gotten sub MOA accuracy with this load.
It's a good one.

Cool! I love a good 180 gr bullet.

I will use that bullet weight in both my .30-06 & .300 Win Mag!

Hawk, not to brag or anything, wanted to show a few pics from results using RL-22 and 180 Accubonds and Ballistic Tips, both performed great accuracy. I used 74.4 grains of RL-22 and velocity was on the fast side as 3,150 fps out of the 26 inch barrel. The top 2 is with 180 Accubonds at 300 yards, first two shots in one ragged hole and I let it cool 5 mins and repeated 2nd 2 shot group to confirm if its not a fluke. The 3rd pic is 3 shots at 300 yards using 180 Ballistic Tips. That was the last time I tried it. I need to take it out more often and it's a big boomer with that muzzle brake. Adjusted to hit the paper to get a better glimpse from the bench, it's not a miss.

I think I’ll be taking the RL22 off the shelf and mating it up with some 180 AB or CTBT.

I was looking at a box of 200 gn AB and was scratching my head as I hadn’t remembered that choice!
