Another bear taken last evening. 180gr Barnes TSX at 2780fps out of the 8x57 did the trick. Dropped on the spot.

Very nice, congrats! I'm interested in the rifle you're using and if you're using euro data at higher pressures. 2780 with a 180 grain in a 8x57 is cranking for sure. Impressive.

Since he brought her home with that ring, it sounds like a successful harvest!

She probably didn't go in the freezer, or get served at dinner!

Using a Sauer 100Xt with a 22inch barrel. Yes, im running my load which is safe in my rifle at high pressure. Using H4895 and worked up. I would not recommend this load in older mauser rifles.

If ever hunt Grizzly I will just take my 300 H&H Mag. because it’s what I own.
