What is your absolute favorite?

It's a toss up between my two .280's right now......The one I've had for 18 years that my dad built for me, or the 50th Anniversary....

Ah, yes, Mike, the .280 is a beautiful cartridge, and you have two beautiful rifles worthy of the cartridge.

And they are Model 700's. There are model 700 owners and then there is just everyone else?

I've forgiven him for this solitary slip-up.

That would make a good signature line, very nice

Got to love a good Remington

Those are a nice pair of 280's. I wouldn't shy away from a Model 700 like either of those.. My 35 Whelen needs a safe mate to protect it!

Someone has to love 'em, Gerry. 8)
I do! I do!

Thanks for the kind words Doc!

Well, there are one or two Model 700s that have sneaked into my safe over the years. I have that exact same Anniversary 280.

It would be difficult to say I don't like it. I let a Browning BLR chambered in .358 Win go in order to pick it up. I haven't shot it that much, yet. It seems to digest pretty much everything I've fed it, delivering accuracy and velocity. It is what all Remingtons should be. The two CDLs I own, not so much, though they are getting there. My 673 (350 RM) is delivering the goods now, but it did take a bit of work to get it shooting as it should. These all lurk around the darkened confines of the safe, coming out whenever invited.

Both of those anniversary 50th 280's are real beauties, I wish Remington would make more like them. The CDL's are quite handsome too.

My favorite non-big game rifle is my Kimber K22 Hunter. It is a scaled down copy of of pre 64 model 70 winchester. At a 100 yards it can put most 22lr loads under an inch all day long. I use it at the range in between shooting my big game rifles, keeps the 'flinches' away.

Welcome aboard buddy!

There sure are a lot of nice looking 280 Remingtons here.

My Winchester Model 70 Classic Stainless in 30-06 Sprg.

Its my "one gun" if I could only have one...

Runners up are my Savage 99 in 300 Savage or my Remington 700 in 25-06...

Mine is my 270 Weatherby magnum Lasermark. For general plinking, my golden 39 rules.

Did you ever get that old Leupy cleaned up and stuck on that 99, Dale?

Right now?
The 700 LA 22-250 with the 1/8 Kreiger barrel my wife got me for Christmas.
Shot steel with it Saturday out to 550 yards and hit a beer can target 4/4.

The two rifles I'll never part with though?
An Interarms MKX Mauser in 06 with 24 in PO Ackley barrel that dad gave me when I was 8. Killed everything I shot at with it for years, never let me down.
Took my only elk with it in 82.

The other is a Rem 700 that's stamped 7MM Express Rem.
With 140s at 3000 fps it's a 1/2 MOA rifle and there isn't a deer/antelope in the lower 48 that's safe.
