I've always just thrown my charge out the Hornady thrower and if ball/flake powder it's on the money every time.

stick powder i drop it less about a grain and trickle the rest in.

The other day I ran into an issue.
I needed to throw 120 grains and my thrower only does 116 ish.

Trickling in 4 grains sucks.

So..
Get a kit that allows me to throw up to 265 grains for my thrower...

Or electric dispenser?

Thx

Why not set your thrower for 1/2 the charge. Meaning, if you needed 120, set it for 60 and dump twice?

I also use to throw double charges to load my 378 based cases. Now I use the V4 Autotrickler.

Love my Chargemaster Link. Always on the money for a few hundred rounds, then needs a quick cleaning and back in business. It's made reloading much more fun.

I'm new to hand loading and instead of going with the usual powder measure to start, I went straight for the Hornady Auto Charge Pro. It's been really good but I don't have anything else to compare it with.
This was one I was considering.

Before I got my RCBS Chargemaster 1500 and CM Lite I did double throws for the .375 H&H and larger. One has to be a bit careful with those automatic powder measure as they can be affected by things like flourescent and cell phones. I had to completely change the lighting in my reloading shed and leave the cell phone in the house to get them working properly. again.

Depends on how many I'm loading but if it's 40-50 rounds I scoop into my RCBS balance beam. It's accurate as long as gravity doesn't change.

For you guys that use a chargemaster tyoe..

How long does it take to spew out a charge.
Normal charges...like say 45 grains to 75 grains how long does it typically take?

Do you find them to be spot on accurate as well?

Never timed my Chargemaster Lite but probably 7-8 seconds.

The Chargemaster has 0.1 grain accuracy, which is the same as the Auto Charge Pro and others in this price range. Stepping up to the Matchmaster, it's .04 grain accuracy in Match Mode. I guess that's what you're paying for.

I’ve reprogramed mine to throw fast charges. With 30-06/7mmRM and under it will throw faster than I can get a bullet seated and measured them.
