where to hunt for 2011?

Hi guys, i live in Ontario Canada, have hunted alot here, but i am going to book a big game hunt in either anticosti island for deer, or the east coast, probably newfoundland for moose....my budjet is about $4ooo-$5000 all included, i want to try something different :grin: ....any ideas, and or input...thanks..lou

Anticosti Island offers some great WT deer hunting, usually resulting in a pair of nice short tined bucks. If you have already successfully hunted WT deer, I would say go for the Newfoundland moose hunt! Newfoundland has a pretty high success rate on bulls.. There are some big bulls there that exceed 50" but the average bull will go in the 36-40" range. Depending on the area and temps, you may have to hunt hard to get a decent bull.

Heck Jim, WE need to go to Newfoundland to hunt moose! That would be a fun trip and all the moose meat we could eat for a year. Plus, they have some big black bears too! Scotty

Got a price on newfoundland moose...$3500 all included...95 % sucsess rate on bulls!..thats a good price, heck here in ontario for an outfitter would cost you about 5-$7000 :shock: ....im going to call and see, yah i can always hunt moose here for much cheaper, but always wanted to go on a hunt out province, or in the usa..Lou

Not sure, ive never been, but looking forward to it....i posted the web site for it...lots of repeat hunters from canada and the usa :grin: ...i booked the last week of october for the hunt :grin: ...maybe about 18 - 20 hr drive, thats ok..im used to it...theres room for a few more hunters if you like?..Lou..my wife is going to kill me :lol:

Thanks Scotty, yes it is...i always wanted to travel for a big game hunt, and i have found it ..its in Doyles Newfounland Canada, they are great people, and almost all booked for 2011 :shock: ....very high kill ratio about 95%....im good for bull or cow for sure, but i well take any good bull or cow, im not fussy..thanks..Lou :wink:
