Just wondering what everyone has in the works for hunts this fall.... figured since the forum is slow... we could post up some of the hunts we have planned for this year. So, here's what I have planned:

Sept 15-23: Washington state high buck hunt... got some horses/mules lined up for week long trip hunting muleys in the velvet and black bears. Some of the most beautiful country on God's green earth... a true hunt. If the bulls are still bugling when I get home... then I may bust out the old Black Widow recurve and see if I can let the air out of a cow... or maybe a big ole' bull if the fates are kind.

Oct 4-11: Guiding antelope here in CO... got a couple of landowner vouchers for does that I'm giving away to local kids (first time hunters)... can't wait for that! If I have time... I may sneak away for a couple of days on a Moose hunt with a buddy that should pull a tag this year (fingers crossed).

Oct 15-20:Trying to shoot a muley buck here locally.... with my revolver.

Dec: Cow elk grocery shopping in Utah.... not so much a hunt... but meat is the mission here.

Heading to the sandbox very soon but should be back just in time to hunt 3rd rifle season somewhere north of I-70, east of Grand Junction, and west of Burlington LOL. My buddies, wife and I just put in for our deer and elk draw tags and I'm relying on my wife to pick me up an over the counter bull tag when they go on sale. Hopefully she or I will be able to get a leftover deer tag, but the pickings have been mighty slim the last couple of years.

Great hunts Songdog. The hunt with the first time kids will probably, will be your best hunt of the year!

My 34th year in a row for moose, sheep, and goat here in Montana. Hoping this will be it. If I draw one of those, I don't care about the rest of the year at all!

Going to buy a turkey tag for western Montana near Thompson Falls where a friend lives, then there is spring bear and shed hunting. Gophers this summer.

Fall- Antelope if drawn, deer, black bear, and elk.

Here is what I have planned

May MI Spring Turkey (GOD willing)

Sept Early WT Doe Rifle

Sept 10 Black Bear (if I pull a tag this year)

Sept 25 WY Antelope

Oct 1-Nov 14 MI Archery

Nov 15 - 30 MI Rifle

Dec Late Doe
Dec Black Powder

I'm headed to that wonderful exotic land with no shortage of sand, bullets, and mortars!

6mm Remington , trade you a hunt for moose so my dad can come down there to hunt antelope or even a elk. He has a hard time with elk and there are no speed goats in our neck of the woods. That offer can be opened up to others on this sight, looking to share this country with others. 8)

Sreamineagle it Is men like you that I will always shake your hand and say thankyou for your sacrifice for standing in harms way to make this a safe place for the next generation of us. Again thank you, be safe and Come home .

Mule deer and black bear here in Washington are on the schedule. Maybe elk too.

Put off my planned return to Wyoming for another year. Time and money.

You guys still on active duty - hang in there! I missed a lot of hunting seasons while serving.

Semper Fi, Guy

SE and YS, good luck over there. It is truly a happy hunting area! Be safe and shoot straight. Remember suppressive fire is the best first aid! Scotty

Just my standard Muzzle loader deer somewhere close to home and then up to the Blue Mountains to hunt elk once again.

You guys going to the sandbox, thanks for doing what you do. Stay safe over there.

+1 and ditto from me. Couldn't have said it better myself, so I'll just use Elkman's quote. You guys come back and I'll give you all the Wyo help I can, offer is open-ended.

April-May my wife and I will both be chasing some black bears around the mountains.
All summer I'll shoot at every yote that will stand there (or running close).
late sept-early Oct. we'll be hunting muley bucks in the hills.
Mid Oct. will be my wifes doe tag. Also be hunting birds on the farm.
Early November will be spike elk in NE Oregon, Any elk (same tag I drew last year), or a three month cow muzzle loader hunt in the same part of the state. All depends on the luck of the draw. Still five or six years out from my big bull tag :? .

Don't think I'll get a speed goat tag, bighorn tag, or mt. goat tag, but I'll sure try!

Thank you guys for your service, and come home safe.
