Which load would you pick??

I have worked two different loads for my 2506 ackley improved. It does have a 27-in barrel by the way. It is a number one with brux barrel all custom. The following are the two loads I have worked up so far. Both are extremely accurate but the 3410 feet per second of the VLD kind of worries me a little. I'm probably overthinking it. Brass fell out of the chamber in all cases with no problem.

I read your post twice and didn't see what you wanted to use it for; I assume hunting. Pronghorn, perhaps? I like them both, to be honest, but 3410 does seem a bit excessive. If you back off a few 10ths, do you lose accuracy? Really I think it's whatever you prefer.

You’re the master, Fotis, and I trust your judgement more than my own, but I will say that 3400 with a 110-120 class doesn’t seem completely unreasonable to me in your case.

I’m completely aware that 7mm is few calibers up and the cool affect that bigger bores have on velocity with like-weighted bullets, but I could get a modest 3400 with a 120 in my 24” 280AI. That was with IMR 4350, which I feel didn’t quite maximize the capability of the cartridge/bullet combo, but it was what I could find. There was room to spare as well, but the accuracy was too good to pass on.

My point being, your 25-06 AI only has a few grains less capacity than a 280 AI and you’re working with a fairly optimized powder for the cartridge, and a longer barrel. You might just be alright
