Ok Fellas. What do you normally use for caps? (Present situation not withstanding)

For me:

small large rifles all Winchetser
large rifle mags FED 215M

large small pistol... who cares?

Nothin' to do at 1:40 AM? Worries about primers keeping you awake?

CCI 250's for large rifle and ball powders in medium rifles.
CCI 450's for small rifle.
Fed 215m's for my son's 300 Bee.
EE2

Small rifle CCI400's

Large Rifle CCIBR2's

Large Rifle Mags CC250

Large Pistol CCI350's

I tried to stick with CCI, as that is what I started with and never saw any good reason to change.

fed 215gm for mags
WLR and fed 210gm for standard
Rem 7 1/2 and WSR for small
CCI for pistol

CCI. Is my favorite, however my father left me several thousand of Remington and Federal so for general shooting I use them.

I use Winchester mostly for everything. With revolvers, I use Federal.
I just picked up some Federal GM210M to try.

I can't say that I use just one primer for a given cartridge. I'm fortunate to have a good selection available and I use them all. If I'm using pressure-tested data, I use the primer used in preparing the recipe.

Large rifle... previously... Rem 91/2 for most loads, Fed 210 Match for most match loads but some shot better with the Rems.

Small pistol Winchester or whatever was cheapest locally. Just making spray and pray ammo for IDPA style action shooting.

Now, once my supply of Rem 9 1/2s are gone, I'll be digging into a large stockpile of Sellier and Bellot LRs. Prelim results are promising with the one load I've tested. They were really cheap too!

All CCI's. Same as Scotty. Never had a issue with them, so I never tried anything else. I have some GMM stuff thats just sitting in my primer container looking for a home.
Russ

WLRM in everything. Tried them all, and am happy with Winchester. I find them more consistant with ignition and deviation.

FGM 215s for all W'Bees
F210NM for many reg. rifle calibers
WLR for WSM rifle calibers
CCIBR2 for BPCR calibers
WLP for pistol calibers

Just looked over my stock of all primers, somewhere around 15,000 + -.

215M and GM215M, CCI 250, and CCI BR for large rifle. For small I have used whatever I could get my hands on.

Corey

FGM on most, CCI's where I have too, but mostly I use them for back up when FGM's become scarce.

Federal Gold Medal 215M where any large rifle magnum primer is applicable.

Winchester LR, Federal 210m where standard large rifle is to be used

For Ar-15's I use CCI # 41 They are a military primer. They are harder and just a tougher primer. Perfect for the non-match Ar-15's where heat, dirt, and other factors are present. (No slam fires, no AD's etc etc with these primers.

45 acp, 40 s&W, etc...any mfg of small pistol or large pistol i can find
44 mag large pistol magnum match GM155m

Overall I just try to stick with Federal Gold Medal Match primers in anything applicable.
