I recently got a Savage 12 LP in a .243 win. I bought two boxes of Nosler brass to shoot in it. On the second reloading I found this...

A single piece of Norma brass! I thought AH HA! I finally figured out who is making nosler brass! So I emailed then to make sure it would be ok if I told you guys about it, or if my wife would become a widow for releasing top secret info and I got this responce.

"I really appreciate the PM on this one! Thank you for that consideration.

We run all of our brass through one prep machine; this includes both our Nosler headstamped brass, as well as brass we receive from other manufacturers (such as Norma) to use for our NoslerCustom loaded ammunition when we run out of our own stuff. For increased efficiency, we will prep the cases we receive from outside manufacturers, followed by our own brass of the same type--this reduces the down-time required for re-tooling. Occasionally one of the outside manufacturers cases is left in the system when the lots are changed out--meaning a piece of prepped Norma (or whoever else) brass ends up in a batch of our Nosler brass...while this is extremely rare, as you can see, it happens.

I'm sure everyone would love to jump on that little tid-bit of information regarding who makes our brass but I can tell you, our 243 brass is manufactured in the US, and is therefore is not produced by Norma.

If you shoot me your mailing address, I'll get some replacement brass in the mail to you, I'm very sorry for the mix-up. We'll make it right by you.

Holler at me if you have any other questions or if there is anything else I can do for you."

I emailed them back telling them that I was in no way up set about it and that they didn't have to send me a new box. I told them it was up to them and left my address...I got it in the mail today.

Service like this can not be beat! Nosler make some of the best products out there and their service is the best I have ever had to deal with. I would like to thank John R. and Shawn for going out of the way to make this "right" even though I told them they didn't have to. I was already a very happy life long Nosler customer, and I can't thank you guys enough.

Well done,

Jake Madison
