BK, I would be happy to sell you the .340 but shipping to California is the issue? I don't think that my local dealer would even do it.
No problem sending your gun to California. You can do it as a private seller. Just send it to an FFL holder here with your drivers license and ask for the copy of the FFL holder license in return and you're good to go.

I've shipped several bolt guns to Ca.- No problems. It is much easier for a non-FFL. Just like DF said.

I'm an Oregon resident, just work in Kalifornia.

I was kinda joking... I'm pretty tight on cash right now.

I was kind of joking as well but my health and well being is diminishing faster as I close in on 70 years old and with my (trashed by Lymphoma) immune system, the day will come sooner than later, when I can not shoot my favorite cannon any more. I only weigh 135 pounds now from this wreckage of my health and I do not have much padding left to shoot .340's daily as I did even a couple years ago when I weighed 160.

Let me know when you are ready and we can talk again.

Will do.

I think I may have picked up your extra padding, though.

DrMike, I always wanted a Model 94 in either .38-55 or .375 Win, either one. Same case just some length difference but with handloading , they are nearly the same. I do not know why I wanted one? It probably will never happen now.

I have been considering selling my .340 Bee Alaskan, .30-06, Model 70 Grade II and .204 Ruger, CZ American. I guess if I did that, plus a couple or three of my revolvers. I could manage a .375 and have change left? n Maybe I could trade one of these for the .375 or .38-55?

Charlie, my buddy picked you a Model 94 375 Winchester for around 500 bucks about 9 months ago. It was nearly perfect in finish, except for a couple micro rust spots. With a little Flitz polish, it was absolutely beautiful and man, it shoots. The deals are out there for them. Don't sell of the good ones yet!

We never see deals like that here in the I-5 corridor of the People's Republic of Washington. There are only three gun stores in Whatcom County which encompasses an area 50 miles deep by 150 miles long and has a city of 80,000 people, plus several other smaller cities. Keeping in mind we pay more for gas in this county than anyplace else but Hawaii and we do it to rob Canadians who drive down here and will pay anything for gas below $8/gallon. Screw the local folks, let them eat cake! We have no jobs here by design, except for working in a gas station of course. However, we do have the Vladimir Lenin branch of Western Washington University to remind all we mental migets that "no jobs are good jobs" because all they graduate is horticulturists, communications majors and environmental lawyers, who then sue every company that might bring a decent job to we plebians in this county!

A $500 gun here would be a Savage Model 10, indian canoe oar, with a chain saw carved bas relief of an indian raven embedded in the buttstock and upholstery tacks which are pounded tastefully into the rest of the stock with a claw hammer! I will have to trade out of Washington for sure when I see $400 Weatherby Vanguards selling here for $900 at Kesselrings with huge gouges in their finish.
